We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo
how about you, you, you
You can come too, too, too
We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!
For the beginning of our new year we have been learning all about the zoo. We are learning about the different animals found in the zoo and the different characteristics each one has. We have had lots of fun so far and are learning new facts each day!
We began with the animals in the arctic section of the zoo...penguins and polar bears! We learned that polar bears usually live alone and have black skin with white fur. Penguins on the other hand live in large groups. We found out that the daddy penguins hold the babies and keep them warm. We got to practice holding eggs like Daddy penguins and walking like them too!
We moved on to some of the larger animals at the zoo...elephants and rhinos! We learned about elephants long trunk and tusks and we also learned that a group of rhinos is called a crash!
This week we are learning all about giraffes and zebras.
Look for some pictures of our "zoo" classroom coming soon!
Class picture day is tomorrow and so is "show and tell" for our afternoon friends!
Thanks!
